Notes & assumptions
• Interest is simple (not compounded) and computed separately on each of the 9 deposits from its own date of payment, as the order says "from the respective dates of deposits onwards".
• The ₹15,00,000 HDFC payment (25.02.2022) is part of the ₹70,28,070 refund and earns the same 12%. Note para 25: HDFC has first charge on the amount payable to that extent — so part of the refund may route to the bank.
• Penal interest: if the builder does not pay within 30 days of receiving the certified copy, the refund carries 15% (12% + 3%) from the default date, and the ₹75,000 & ₹35,000 start carrying 12% from the default date.
• This is an arithmetic estimate to help you, not legal or financial advice. The exact figure allowed in execution can vary with the court's own day-count and interpretation — get it confirmed by your advocate before filing execution.
